Pet odor is the decaying bacteria left behind by the animal.

There are two options for pet odor treatment:

1. The first option is enzyme-bacterial odor digestion.
   The carpet, carpet backing and padding are given a urine pre-treatment, liquifying the alkaline salts and supressing the ammonia odor. This is allowed to dwell 15-20 minutes. The matter is then thoroughly removed with a sub-surface extractor, rinsed, and extracted again.
   
   Treatment with disinfectant enzymatic digesters is next. Enzymes eat at the source of obnoxious odors (bacteria) completely. In any odor control treatment, the malodor will be intensified by moisture. This is normal. The odor will be eliminated when dried completely.
   
   In severe cases, re-treatment will be necessary.
   
   Flooring underneath can also be affected. In this case, treatment and encapsulation is advised.
   
   
2. The second option is encapsulation.
   Encapsulation of surfaces like drywall, woodwork and trim, underlayment, wood sub-flooring, concrete and other hard surfaces which can effectively be sealed. The area receives a urine pre-treatment, then encapsulation with the appropriate sealer. The sealer varies depending on the type of affected surface.
